Information & Policies

The following policies explain how orders, payments, deliveries, returns, and personal data are handled on SLIQUA. We encourage clients to review the relevant sections before placing an order. If you have any questions, please contact us at hello@sliqua.art

SLIQUA reserves the right to update these policies from time to time. Any changes will apply from the date the updated version is published on the website.

General Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the SLIQUA website and the purchase of products offered through the platform.

SLIQUA operates as a curated online marketplace and acts as a disclosed commercial agent on behalf of independent artisans and workshops. The contract of sale for each product is concluded directly between the Client and the relevant Artisan, who remains the legal seller of the product. SLIQUA is authorized to administer the platform, process orders, facilitate communications, and collect payments on the Artisan's behalf.

In compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), users and authorities may report any suspected illegal content, copyright infringements, or non-compliant product listings by contacting our designated point of contact at hello@sliqua.art

By using the website or placing an order through SLIQUA, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Products & Craftsmanship

SLIQUA is a curated platform presenting artisan-made works created by independent artisans, workshops, and artisan-led organizations.

Due to the handmade nature of the products, slight variations in color, texture, dimensions, finish, and natural materials may occur. Such variations, together with any artisan identifiers, are considered part of the character and authenticity of the work and are not regarded as defects.

Product images and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible. However, colors and appearance may vary slightly depending on screen settings, lighting conditions, and the characteristics of natural materials.

Product materials and dimensions are itemized clearly on each product page. In accordance with product compliance standards, the relevant Artisan remains responsible for the quality, material description, and regulatory compliance of their works.

For any product safety inquiries, compliance issues, or product recall notices under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), please contact us at hello@sliqua.art

Ordering & Contract Formation

Purchases are made through the SLIQUA platform in accordance with the Ordering & Payment Policy. Acting on behalf of the relevant Artisan, SLIQUA reserves the right to refuse or decline a purchase request in the event of suspected fraud, incorrect information, shipping restrictions, product unavailability, or other circumstances preventing fulfillment.

A purchase contract between the Client and the relevant Artisan is formed only after the order has been accepted, the applicable invoice(s) have been issued, and full payment has been received. SLIQUA will issue an order confirmation by email on behalf of the Artisan.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in EUR (€).

Prices displayed on the website include VAT where applicable to the relevant sale. Shipping charges, import duties, customs fees, local taxes, and any other applicable charges are governed by the Ordering & Payment Policy and Deliveries & Returns Policy.

SLIQUA reserves the right to modify prices at any time. Any changes shall not affect orders already confirmed.

Delivery & Shipping

Delivery arrangements, cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal rights are governed by the Deliveries & Returns Policy.

Delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

SLIQUA shall not be responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, shipping providers, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Returns & Cancellations

Returns, cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal rights are governed by the Deliveries & Returns Policy.

Certain products, including made-to-order, personalized, customized, or otherwise exempt works, are not eligible for return or cancellation due to change of mind.

Product Authenticity

SLIQUA presents works created by independent artisans and workshops. Where applicable, certificates of authenticity, signatures, workshop marks, or other identifiers may accompany a work.

 Intellectual Property

All content displayed on the website, including text, images, product descriptions, logos, branding, graphics, and website design, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without prior permission from SLIQUA or the relevant rights holder.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SLIQUA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the website or from the sale or use of products offered by independent Artisans through the platform.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Estonia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in the client's country of residence.

Ordering & Payment Policy

All works presented on SLIQUA are available through a purchase inquiry process.

Prices displayed on SLIQUA are shown in EUR (€). VAT is included where applicable. Shipping costs are charged separately and are calculated following the submission of a purchase inquiry through the product page.

Many works offered on SLIQUA require individual shipping arrangements based on the destination and the nature of the piece. To begin the purchase process, clients are invited to submit a purchase inquiry through the product page.

Following receipt of a purchase inquiry, SLIQUA will coordinate the order with the relevant Artisan, confirm the preparation and shipping arrangements, and, once these details have been agreed, provide the Client with a secure Stripe payment link together with the relevant payment instructions.

Clients are responsible for reviewing the order details and notifying SLIQUA promptly of any inaccuracies before completing payment. An order is considered confirmed only after full payment has been received.

For made-to-order works, full payment is required before preparation commences.

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country. Such charges are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated. Customs procedures may occasionally result in delivery delays that are outside SLIQUA's control. Where appropriate, SLIQUA will make reasonable efforts to assist clients with customs-related matters during the shipping process.

Deliveries & Returns

Each work presented through the platform is prepared and shipped directly from the artisan’s workshop. Because the collection consists of handmade, one-of-a-kind or small-series works, delivery methods and timelines may vary depending on the nature of the piece.

Shipping Regions

SLIQUA currently ships to clients in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Please note that certain works may be subject to specific shipping restrictions or regional exclusions due to their dimensions, fragility, or material characteristics. Any applicable shipping restrictions or regional exclusions will be clearly indicated on the relevant product page or communicated during the purchase inquiry process.

Delivery Methods

Orders are shipped using carefully selected courier and transport services appropriate to the nature of the work, the artisan's location, and the client's destination. For this reason, transport arrangements require individual review prior to purchase.

Clients will be invited to submit a purchase inquiry. Once reviewed, we will recommend the most appropriate transport solution for the work and destination and provide a shipping quotation.

Preparation, Dispatch & Estimated Delivery Times

Once an order has been confirmed, works are generally prepared for dispatch within 3 business days. Some works may require additional preparation time due to custom packaging or other product-specific requirements. Where applicable, estimated preparation or dispatch timelines will be communicated to the client prior to purchase.

Once dispatched, deliveries within Europe generally arrive within approximately 3–7 business days, depending on the destination and courier service used.

Delivery times for destinations outside Europe vary depending on the country, shipping method, customs procedures, and other local factors. Estimated transit times will therefore vary on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that all preparation and delivery timelines are estimates only. While we make every effort to meet the indicated timeframes, delays may occasionally occur due to courier operations, customs procedures, weather conditions, seasonal demand, artisan availability, or other logistical factors outside of SLIQUA’s direct control. In such cases, clients will be informed accordingly.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs are not included in the product prices and are calculated according to the destination, product size, handling requirements, and transport arrangements applicable to each work.

All works will require a shipping quotation prior to purchase. In these cases, clients will be invited to submit a purchase inquiry, and a tailored shipping quotation will be provided following review of the work, destination, and transport requirements.

Depending on the characteristics of the work and the delivery requirements, the Artisan will arrange the transport solution considered most appropriate for the relevant shipment. Where appropriate, SLIQUA may assist in coordinating specialized transport arrangements or fine art logistics.

Applicable Delivery Terms

Products are normally delivered under DAP (Delivered At Place) delivery terms. For certain oversized, fragile, high-value, or otherwise exceptional works, specialized fine art logistics or other alternative transport arrangements may be agreed with the Client prior to purchase. The applicable delivery arrangements will be confirmed before the order is confirmed.

Import Duties, Customs & Non-EU Deliveries

Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to local import duties, taxes, customs processing fees, or documentation requirements imposed by the destination country.

Clients ordering outside of the European Union are considered the importer of record within their destination country and are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable local import rules, restrictions, documentation requirements, customs procedures, and import obligations.

SLIQUA will make reasonable efforts to assist clients throughout the shipping process. However, clients ordering outside the European Union remain responsible for customs compliance and transit-related obligations once the shipment has been transferred to the designated carrier.

Any additional customs charges, taxes, storage fees, administrative costs, or import-related expenses remain the responsibility of the client.

Customs processing times, inspections, and border procedures are outside of SLIQUA’s control and may occasionally result in delivery delays.

If a shipment is refused, abandoned, returned, delayed, or otherwise impacted due to unpaid duties, failure to provide requested customs information, or non-compliance with local import procedures or regulations within the destination country, any resulting original outbound shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, customs-associated carrier fees, storage charges, administrative costs, and any other related expenses may be deducted from any applicable refund, where permitted under applicable law.

Delivery Information & Inspection

Clients are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring availability for delivery where required.

Clients are also responsible for reviewing the order details communicated by SLIQUA and notifying SLIQUA promptly of any incorrect product selections, shipping details, or contact information before the order is dispatched.

At the time of delivery, clients (or their nominated recipient) are encouraged to inspect the external packaging and notify the courier immediately in the event of visible transport damage.

Clients are requested to inspect the work itself as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and notify SLIQUA promptly in the event of transport damage, defects, or order discrepancies, within 48 hours of delivery, including photographic documentation where applicable.

If a shipment is returned due to incorrect delivery details, repeated failed delivery attempts, refusal of delivery, or non-collection, any resulting original outbound shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, customs-associated carrier fees, storage charges, administrative costs, or other related expenses may be deducted from any applicable refund, where permitted under the applicable return framework for the destination region.

Handmade Nature of the Works

We make every effort to represent each work as accurately and faithfully as possible through photography, descriptions, and product details.

However, due to the handcrafted nature of the works, minor variations in dimensions, tone, texture, color, finish, weave, pattern, or natural material markings may occur.

Such variations form part of the character, individuality, and authenticity of handmade artisan work and should not be considered as defects.

In addition, colors and textures may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions, photography, screen settings, or display calibration.

Returns & Right of Withdrawal
Clients Outside of the EU, UK, and Norway

Due to the fragile nature and customs complexity associated with international transport of artisan works, orders shipped to these regions are considered final sale.

Returns or cancellations for change of mind are therefore not accepted for orders shipped to these regions.

Clients within the EU, UK, and Norway

Clients within these regions may request a return within 14 calendar days of physical delivery of the item.

To request a return, clients should contact SLIQUA at hello@sliqua.art to obtain return authorization and confirmed return instructions.

Returned works should be shipped directly to the designated artisan address provided by SLIQUA and not to parcel drop-off locations.

Clients are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of return shipping.

Returns should be securely packed using the original packaging in which the work was delivered whenever possible. Where the work was supplied in a custom-made crate, wooden box, or other specially produced packaging, such packaging is considered part of the product delivery and should be returned together with the work unless damaged or no longer usable through normal handling. Where original packaging is unavailable, the client remains responsible for ensuring that the work is appropriately protected for return transit.

Clients remain responsible for the returned shipment until it has been successfully delivered back to the designated return address. For this reason, clients are strongly encouraged to use tracked and insured return shipping services.

Refunds are processed only after the returned work has been physically received and inspected.

Refunds may be reduced or refused where returned items show signs of damage, misuse, inadequate packaging, missing components, or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the work.

Made-to-Order & Bespoke Works

Made-to-order products created to a client's specifications, as well as personalized and customized products, are not eligible for return or cancellation due to change of mind.

Where applicable, this will be clearly indicated on the product page or confirmed prior to purchase.

If the Work Arrives Damaged

In the unlikely event that a work arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact hello@sliqua.art within 48 hours of recorded delivery.

To assist with courier and insurance procedures, clients may be asked to provide:

  • photographs of the work;
  • photographs of the inner and outer packaging;
  • photographs of the shipping label; and
  • where possible, a short continuous video documenting the condition upon opening.

Where transport damage is confirmed, SLIQUA will facilitate the resolution of the matter between the client and the relevant Artisan in accordance with these Policies and applicable law.

Product Safety & GPSR Compliance

SLIQUA acts as the single point of contact for product safety and regulatory compliance under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). For any product safety inquiries, technical documentation requests, or compliance notices, please contact us directly at hello@sliqua.art. SLIQUA will coordinate directly with the respective Artisan to resolve any consumer or regulatory matters.
