One of a Kind

Created as a decorative centerpiece, this ceramic vessel is shaped by hand on a traditional potter's wheel in southern Spain. Its openwork (calado) decoration is carefully hand-carved, creating a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow across the surface. A green copper oxide slip develops rich tonal variation during firing while highlighting the carved details. Fired in a traditional wood-burning kiln, the ceramic retains the distinctive character and surface depth of time-honored workshop techniques.

Materials & Technique

Material: Clay, copper oxide slip

Technique: Hand-thrown on a traditional potter's wheel, coated with copper oxide slip, decorated with hand-carved openwork (calado), and fired in a traditional wood-burning kiln.

Safety & Care: Fragile decorative object – handle with care. Decorative use only. Ensure placement on a stable, level surface. Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
