Sa Pianella Sardinian Handwoven Wool Rug & Tapestry

Created to function both as a wall tapestry and a floor runner, this piece is woven on a traditional horizontal loom in Sardinia, Italy. The composition reinterprets the geometric motif known as Sa Pianella, a historic pattern deeply rooted in Sardinian textile tradition. The deep terracotta red is achieved entirely through natural dyes, beautifully contrasted by the off-white tones of raw, undyed wool. Woven using the complex un'indente technique with locally sourced wool, the textile is distinguished by its dense structure, rich texture and enduring character.
