Carved from prehistoric Irish bog oak, Primal Creature draws inspiration from the ancient origins of both the material and the organic forms it reveals. Rather than imposing a predetermined shape, the sculpture follows the natural contours of the wood, allowing a timeless, creature-like form to emerge through the carving process. The deep, obsidian black color is revealed through the natural preservation of ancient oak buried in oxygen-poor peatlands for millennia.
